Rehearsal Schedule – Week of 11/4/18

 

Monday – No Rehearsal

Tuesday – Stadium Rehearsal 5:00-9:00

Wednesday – Victoria Field Rehearsal 3:15 – 5:30

Thursday – Valencia Competition

Friday – Stadium Rehearsal 5:30 – 9:00

Saturday – Moorpark Competition

 

 

 

 

Thursday 11/8/18 – Valencia FT itinerary

Valencia HS. 27801 Dickason Drive, Valencia, CA

Students will be excused from 6th period this day. Students must get make-up work prior to leaving due to absence.

 

2:13 – Meet at Bandroom-change into uniform halves – finish loading truck/trailer with uniform boxes and drums.

3:00 – Line Up in Band Room for Dismissal.

3:30 – Load buses and Depart for Valencia HS. 27801 Dickason Drive, Valencia, CA

4:30 – Arrival at Valencia HS – begin unloading, bathroom in groups. Battery Tuning and Organizing. Please make cases look neat. 

4:40 – Body Warm-up and stretching, Basics in halves without instruments. 

5:40 – Gather full uniform and helmets, begin lining up for departure to warm-up zone

5:45 – Depart to Warm-up Zone B 

5:55 – Sectional Warm-Up

6:05 – Percussion Ensemble/Hornline Running sections of P1, P2, and P3 (Javelin)

6:20 – Full Ensemble – production runs with met.

6:30 – Full Ensemble – full run – no met.

6:40 – Warm-up Concludes – begin heading to staging. 

6:50 – Pre-Staging for Performance

7:00 – Perform

7:15 – Circle Debriefing

7:30 – Return to Trucks, take uniforms off and store instruments.

8:00 – Enjoy a warm meal thanks to very generous BMA families – don’t forget to say thank you!

8:45 – Head to buses – Drum majors remain as representatives for awards ceremony with Mr. R and another parent driver

9:00 – Depart for Buena

9:45 – Awards Ceremony for DM’s and Mr. R

10:00 – Band members return to Buena and help unload the trucks.

10:20 – Dismissed.  

 

 

 

Saturday, 11/10/18 – Moorpark Battle of the Bands

Moorpark High School

4500 Tierra Rejada Rd

Tickets are $12 for entry and $9 for students. 

 

9:30 am - Call time at Buena, full group to stadium

9:45 am - Stretch, pit on field

10:00 am - Band basics, guard/perc sectionals

10:20 am - Band warm up

10:30 am - Ensemble, comb through show

11:45 am - Full Run

12:00 pm - Rehearsal ends, push gear to truck and load truck

12:30 pm –Pack and eat lunches and change into halves. 

1:30 pm – Line Up in Band Room

1:35 pm - Load bus

1:45 pm - Depart for MHS (21 miles)

2:30 pm - Arrive, use bathroom, unload equipment

3:00 pm - Stretch, visual warm up, tune battery

3:40 pm – Gather Uniform components and instruments

3:50 pm - Push to rehearsal zone (TBA)

4:03 pm - Sectional Warm up 

4:18 pm - Percussion Ensemble

4:28 pm - Full Ensemble, production runs w/ met

4:35 pm - Full Run w/o met

4:43 pm - Breakdown, move to pre-stage

4:48 pm - Pre-stage

5:03 pm – Perform

5:15 pm - Debrief

5:20 pm - Back to truck, drop off equipment, head back for awards

5:30 pm – Carefully change out of uniform/put away, breakdown equipment, load truck except award line. 

5:45 pm – Enjoy Food provided by BMA, please thank the parents!

6:30 pm – head back to stands and enjoy watching bands. 

8:40 pm – Award-Reception Members change back into uniform. Head to staging area once complete.

9:03 pm – Pasadena City College Guest Performance 

9:30 pm – Evening Awards

10:15 pm - Regroup at buses

10:30pm - Depart for BHS*

11:15 pm - Arrive at BHS, unload

11:35 pm (approximate) – Dismissed
