3) The Buena High School Music Program prides itself on its rich forty five year marching history and tradition. In the mid to late 80's and early 90’s the Buena High School Marching Band and Color Guard was revered as one of Southern California's top Marching Bands. The Buena High School Marching Band has performed in Canada, Spain, the Rose Parade, Hollywood Christmas Parade, and many short film documentaries. In 2001 the Marching Band won the WBA title in their respective division. In the mid 90’s the Buena High School Music Department saw the addition of a Winter Marching Program when Winter Drumline and Winter Guard was added to its schedule of courses. Now, for the first time in its history the Buena Music Department is under the direction and coached by alumni! Did you know the Buena High School Marching Band grew to over 200 students in the 80’s? We would very much like to see the Marching program at Buena grow to this size once again! Prospective students are encouraged to email Mr. Salehi to obtain more information about our Marching Ensembles at Buena. Let’s bring back the “Pride of the Gold Coast” to Ventura!

The Buena High School Music Department needs your help more than ever with California facing the worst economic crisis it has seen since the Great Depression. To ensure that we can continue to provide a quality Music Education to our wonderful young Musicians, we are now accepting donations. Keep Ventura’s only fully comprehensive High School Music Program alive by making a donation today.

By making a donation today, your Family and/or Company name will be added to our website and future Concert Programs.

The Buena High School Music Department will be seeing changes next year due to the Economic Decline California has been experiencing lately. Furthermore, the Buena High School Music Department will be starting a new Booster Club next year. With this being said, we really need YOUR help to ensure a vibrant Music Program for our young Musicians next year. Interested Parents are strongly encouraged to email me at sean.salehi@venturausd.org to find out how they can help our become involved with the new Booster Club.

1. BMBC (New Booster Club) will meet for the first time on Tuesday July 14th from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Band Room.

2. Band Camp Information:

Leadership Meeting - Sunday July 26th at Round Table Pizza from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

First Day of Band Camp - "Everyone" will report to Band Camp on Monday July 27th.

Band Camp Hours - Week of July 27th and the Week of August 3rd from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
